There's a Rowan tree right outside my studio window, and I find a lot of joy in witnessing its yearly cycle. My favourite thing about Rowan trees is the life they bring. The bees love the delicate Rowan flowers in the spring, and come late summer, the garden birds begin their seasonal feast of ripe, juicy Rowan berries.
The Rowan tree has a long, scared history. Since ancient times people have been planting a Rowan beside their home, as in Celtic mythology it's known as the Tree of Life and symbolises courage, wisdom and protection.
My hope for this ring is that it reminds the wearer of the wisdom and courage within. And combined with the healing properties of Citrine, instill a calm sense of optimism within you.
